What is GUIDE?

A new standard for dementia care, backed by Medicare.

The GUIDE Model (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) is a national program created by Medicare to change how dementia is cared for. It funds a complete support system around each patient, not just office visits.

ANSA was selected to deliver it alongside major institutions like UCLA, USC, and Cedars Sinai. ANSA is the only private physician's office in all of Los Angeles chosen to participate.

Expert medical care

Diagnosis and ongoing treatment from a board certified neurologist, including the newest FDA approved anti amyloid therapies for early Alzheimer's.

A dedicated care navigator

One point of contact who helps coordinate appointments, medications, and resources, so the whole journey is managed, not left to families to figure out alone.

Caregiver & family support

Education, respite support, and access to help when you need it, because caring for someone with dementia shouldn't fall on one person's shoulders.

Conditions We Treat

Comprehensive neurological care for the brain and nervous system.

From memory and movement to headaches and stroke recovery, all diagnosed and managed by a specialist who knows the whole picture. Tap any condition to see how we diagnose and treat it.

Don't see your condition listed? We care for the full range of neurological and cognitive conditions. Reach out and ask.

In-House Testing & Modern Treatment

Advanced diagnostics and the latest FDA approved therapies.

Accurate answers start with the right testing, and ANSA offers treatments that weren't available even a few years ago.

Meet Dr. Akopian

Glendale born, Keck USC trained, patient first by design.

Dr. Vahe Akopian is a board certified neurologist who grew up in Glendale and built his practice to give his community fellowship level neurology and memory care, without the impersonal feel of a large hospital system.

He completed his neurology training at Keck USC, followed by an additional fellowship year in intra-operative neuromonitoring, and was honored with a Young Investigator Award for his research. He founded ANSA to focus on what matters most: getting the diagnosis right, explaining it clearly, and standing beside families through every step of care.
